Happy Valentine's Day

Time sure flies when you are having fun. We had a great week. Lily is getting used to her new daycare. Very nice people (teachers) and lots of kids to play with. She is going through a little separation anxiety from her parents. At least we know she loves us. We had a great weekend. Looking at new houses on Saturday then took a trip to Ocean City, MD and lower Delaware beaches. It was sunny but still a little cold. Lily sure loves the beach. Can't wait for another visit. A few pictures from the beach and one more from Oregon with Christopher. Yes, Lily still adores him.

Trip to Oregon & D.C. Update

It's been way too long since we've did a post. Some pictures below from our trip to Oregon during Kim's two week hiatus from work. We had a great time. Got to see Courtney play basketball both in person and on T.V. Got to take a trip to the Portland Zoo one day with best friend Ahren and her daughter Macy. Then got go to the Chuck E. Cheese's with all Lily's cousins. Then we had lots of dinners together with family with some incredible food. Lily thoroughly enjoyed her time, especially with her favorite buddy Christopher and all the dogs at Venita & Daves. My pictures turned out not so good this time (must have been user error), but I found a couple decent ones.

We've spent our first week in the D.C./MD area and are doing exceptionally well. Found a sitter for Lily on Monday after five interviews. I started by new job on Tuesday. The commute got better every day as I learned more through the week. I'm down to under an hour and am trying to see if we can get that closer to 45 minues long term. Our temporary townhouse is a-ok. Work is going excellent. Major change in hours and responsibilities than what I am used to. Some people don't even get in the office until 10am or after. Yes, this blow my mind since I am used to starting work at 6am. But it is excellent. The people are wonderful, incredibly brilliant and dedicated. Have lots of lawyers, CPAs, authors, etc. to work with.

Lily got the stomach flu on Thursday so Chris was so very nice enough to take care of her on Friday. What a great dad (and husband) he is. We had an excellent weekend. Starting to look at houses and narrow down the area we want to live in (totally different than we originally planned), but at least we have the time to give it the thought we need. Lily is feeling much better over the weekend, so we are looking forward to a great week.

Bad picture, but I wish you could have been there to experience Lily enjoying Karaoke way too much. Limited to cow & sheep sounds for now, but I see a future Karaoke star coming your way.

And a few more

More Christmas Pictures

Christmas 2010

For Christmas we were lucky enough to be able to spend 10 days in Florida with Merry & Ron. We had a fantastic time. Lily decided to cut all 4 molars while we were there, but she was a good little thing regardless. She enjoyed playing with Andy (the dog), giving him a lot of open mouthed kisses and trying out his dog food from time to time. It must have been good is all I have to say. The weather was a little chilly a couple days, but we had some great 70+ degree weather too. We also got to spend some time down in Naples with our friends Aniela, Tim, Stefan, Irene & Floyd (from London & Pennsylvania). What a treat that was. It was a fantastic vacation and we can't wait to repeat it in future years.

Heading out for Christmas

I can't believe Christmas is almost here. My blogging activities have been poor to say the least lately. I won't be too hard on myself given all that has been going on... Searching for a new job, quitting an old one, searching for a new house, selling an old house, dealing with more interior designers than I could ever imagine. Our newly remodeled kitchen has turned out beautifully and will hopefully sell the house.

In the meantime, our little Lily is still the most fun part of every day.

This picture was taken during our last visit to Baltimore/DC. She is a fantastic traveller that can sleep anywhere. (this is the rental car waiting area)
At the airport, running around in circles

Lily's Fall!

Our little girl continues to just grow and grow. Nearly right in front of our eyes. Her hair is getting a little crazy (kind of looks like dad's) but her personality is all mom (definitely an on/off switch). She got her 9th tooth this last week, working on 10 thru 12 now. She is still a happy baby despite biting mom and her babysitter on occasion. As you can see, she is definitely her father's daughter.
