More June Summer Fun

This last weekend we were lucky enough to have Lily's best friend Gianna and her family join us at the beach.  And of course Sam showed up half way into the weekend as well so it was another big party weekend.  Lots of fun in the sun...

Summer Fun

We get so busy over the summer that I forget to post pictures and then they all seem to run together into what looks like one big party at the beach.  O.K. maybe this is really what our life has become... or at least a series of a bunch of little parties at the beach.  Our summer has definitely started off great.  We've had a couple more weekends in June out at the beach... both were a hit.  Here are a few pictures from early June.

We started this particular weekend in early June out at Rehoboth Beach before the crowds gathered.  The other benefit of not having to pay for parking and no crowds is that usually we get to see dolphins in the morning.  This particular morning was no exception and we saw a large group of at least 30 of them.

How many people can we fit in one inner tube?  3 or even maybe 4 if Chloe joins us...

Fun in the Sun with Jenna & Nolan

We were able to spend a full day with our friends Jenna (7) and Nolan (2) today.  Unfortunately, there mom abandoned them a bit and headed to drug rehab... leaving them with our friends Tom & Sue (grandparents who were really thinking about retiring this year).  We decided to give Tom & Sue a much needed free day and it was truly a treat for us.  Nolan and Jenna are amazing kids and the three of them had a great time together.  We went to the strawberry farm to pick a flat of strawberries (which will make tasty freezer jam tomorrow), then we headed to the park, then back home for some lunch, then off to the pool for fun in the sun, then to our local park and finally back home for some serious playing and hide and seek.

Sue was so gracious that she even made us home made pizza for dinner while the kids played some more.  Then when we got home I had a whole picture of the best "pink" sangria I have ever made.  Zinfandel and yummy raspberries, strawberries and lemons.  Wow!
