Mothers Day Weekend

My apologies in advance for the obscene amount of pictures in this post but we got some really great ones that I couldn't help but share.  I must say that I truly had the best Mothers Day yet.  We got to go out for brunch with our friends Holly, Don, Sam and Chloe.  Then we all hit the beach long enough for some great photos and soaking of the kids clothes.  Next it was back to the beach houses to hook the electric car up to the wagon to pull the kids (and adults) around the neighborhood.  Water balloons and lunch were next.  Finally we finished the day at Funland on the Rehoboth Boardwalk.  What an amazing time!

VE Day Celebration in DC

I was lucky enough to get to walk down to the National Mall (during my lunch hour) and enjoy 70 WWII airplanes doing a fly over in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of VE Day.  It was an amazing sight and made me feel so incredibly lucky for working so close to so many of these events I can enjoy.  They shutdown Reagan National to allow these WWII planes the space to fly.  It lasted about an hour as the planes are a bit slower (and louder) than our newer jets.  Very cool.

May at the beach

It seems every May we spend a lot of time at the beach.  Maybe because the weather finally starts warming up and it is so nice to be outside.  In May we will hit the beach 4 out of 5 weeks.  Definitely no complaints from us.  We have been really lucky this month to spend so much time with our neighbors Holly, Don, Sam & Chloe as well.  We have had some fun filled days!

Take Your Child to Work Day

This is Lily's third Take Your Child to Work Day at First Book.  There were much fewer kids than in years past, but Izzy and Lily had a great time playing together.  And the rest of the office seemed to enjoy some dress up, movies and reading as well.
