Santa Brunch

Our community hosts a really great Santa Brunch that somehow we have been able to attend for several years.   It is a great time for everyone to get dressed up, have some pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus and eat some wonderful food.

Cooking, Crafting & Cookie Making

As we should be doing around the holidays,we've spent the last week cooking, crafting and making 11 batches of cookies.  It has been really nice to have a week of no other obligations than just want we want to do being at home.  A rare occasion.  We also got in some time to watch Holiday Inn and White Christmas.  If you ever get a chance ask Lily about all the Bing Crosby facts she knows.  Mind blowing.

Lily and Mary making up some Hello Fresh for our dinners (they did a fantastic job)

Shell trees, the product of lots of shelling in Bonita + two nights of burning my hands with the hot glue gun.  Lily did a great job tell me where to put all her black and white shells.

11 batches of cookies (5 batches of sugar cookies, 2 batches of gumdrop cookies, 2 batches of orange cranberry cookies and 2 batches of candy kiss cookies)

Hershey Park

This is our fourth trek to Hershey Park during the holiday season.  It truly has become an amazing tradition filled with friends who have become like family.  Dave, Theresa and Madeline met us there and we picked up Rut, so there were 7 of us and boy did we have fun.  Lunch at Hershey Pantry, girls making their own candy bars, the indoor water park at the hotel plus bingo, smores, etc  And then off to Hershey Park on Sunday.  Boy was it cold, but it might have just added to the memories.

Chris Holiday Work Party

This last weekend was a fun filled, busy, crazy weekend.  After Lily's Christmas Program at school, we hopped in the car and drove to DC, while literally changing in the car into holiday clothes for Chris Work Party.  It was a lot of fun and gave us a chance to stay at a nice hotel.  The next morning, we rushed over to pick up Rut and then headed to Hershey Park for more amazing weekend.

Here are a few pictures from Chris work party

Christmas Bazaar and School Program

Last week, Lily had a Christmas bazaar over the weekend which was loads of fun.  Then during the week they held their annual Christmas program which really was amazing.  Lily had a solo and as usual, she was amazing.

Parade Season

At her new school, Lily was able to join an after school music group called the M&Ms (The Musical Mallards that is...).  They performed in not one, but two Christmas parades.  One in Berlin, MD and one in Ocean City, MD.  They even had a parade float thanks to their amazing instructor Ms. Brittingham.  They sang Jingle Bell rock.  As of publishing this, they had one first place at the Ocean City MD parade.
