From Gymboree to Justice

It is really hard on a Mom, I've discovered recently, to have to move from buying my little girls clothes at Gymboree (think cute) to moving up to buying clothes at Justice (think pre-teen).  We are now buying size 10 dresses because the little stinker is so tall.  I'm not at all excited about this pre-teen transition, but literally Gymboree stops selling clothes at size 8.  Ugh.

As you can see below, Lily is combing all her Justice purchases into one outfit.  I must say I do like the kitty hat.

It's Birthday Season

Birthday season is in full force the last couple weeks.  Two weeks ago we had our friend Julie's birthday party.  We went to a fantastic southern style restaurant in Arlington, VA that Steve's cousin actually owned.  It was so different than the normal Korean style food we have with these friends that it was quite surprising, but excellent.  Think waffles and fried chicken.

Then we had Lily's friend Sasha's birthday at the bowling alley.  Unfortunately my phone took terrible pictures in the bowling alley and I didn't get a picture of the birthday girl, but I did get one of Lily with her friend Gianna.

And finally last weekend, it was off for Korean BBQ/Sushi/Buffet in Annandale, VA for our friend Steve's birthday.  Annandale is like Korean town here in the DC area.  We even visited a fantastic Korean bakery with some awesome Tiramisu.

Vacation 2015! What a great year it will be.

The weekend after next we are off to South Carolina for an entire week for spring break.  We are staying at Seabrook Island which is only about 20 miles from Charleston on the beach.  I am personally so excited about spending time in this area as I've only been in the past for work and never gotten to be a tourist.

Then, because as you know, I'm such a planner, we booked our big trip for the year to South Africa.  And get this... I got us a free stopover in Istanbul.  My two favorite countries in one trip.  I can't tell you how excited I am.  We are going to stay in Istanbul for just three days, but it will be great.  Then we have a house exchange in South Africa near Cape Town.  Our own house and pool for 10 days.  Then we will be off for five days of safari in Kruger National Park before heading home.  So excited that I can hardly contain myself.  Sure hope Lily likes these places as much as we do.

Playing Dress Up with Friends

Lily had a fun play date with her friend Gianna and her little sister Mary Grace this past weekend.  There were dress up clothes everywhere.  But the girls had a great time.
