Post Fourth of July blues... (I mean more fun)

Finally the pools in our Silver Spring house (aka our regular house) finally opened to great fan fare over the holiday week.  Because we didn't get home until late Saturday, we decided to make a day of our new pool on Sunday and invited Lily's friend Lluc and family over for a cookout and swimming.  The new pools are awesome.  We also got a new playground for the kids and sand volleyball court.  And the entire clubhouse is almost ready.  Chris and I are already enjoying the adult only lap pool as well.  Lots of fun for the entire family.  Lily should for sure turn into a fish now.

No clue what is going on here...  Not sure Lily's friend Lluc is as amused as Lily is.

Lily and Lluc resting on the floor and watching Disney Junior after the pool excitement.  Way too much hugging if you ask me.

Fourth of July fun...

We were fortunate enough to spend most of the 4th of July week at the beach house enjoying some really great weather.  The first weekend we finally got to spend time with our beach house neighbors.  Sam is just six months younger than Lily.  His parents Holly & Don are great.  And they have a little five month old girl Chloe as well.  We see them in and out sometimes, but this week we finally got to spend time playing with them, having dinner together and hanging out at the wave pool together.  There was also lots of time spent at the beach in the mornings dolphin watching and running from the surf.  The second part of the week we were joined by our friend Matthew and his partner Adam.  Lily loved having them around to hang out with.  There was lots of fruity drinks for the adults and smoothies for Lily.  The weather was excellent too!  What a great week.

Lily is really getting into the helping with the baking, especially when it includes cupcakes

Way past Lily's bedtime to see the fireworks.  I thought she was going to fall asleep before they even started
