Lily's 7th Birthday Weekend

It was one long weekend of celebrating Lily's birthday.  On Thursday (Oct. 6 actual birthday) we took cupcakes to school for the class then mom took Lily to her favorite pizza spot on Rehoboth Beach.  It was a great night for hanging out at the beach and boardwalk.  Then Friday, it was off to lunch and a movie.  Saturday night we hit the school carnival and then had about 15 kids over at our house for a birthday party in Delaware.  Lots of boys = lots of crazy.  Then Sunday we headed back to MD for the day to celebrate at Lily's favorite Japanese Tepanyaki restaurant with her friends in MD.  I'm surprised she didn't need a vacation after that.

Oktoberfest

For five years now at the Peninsula we have missed the annual Oktoberfest celebration every year, mostly because it is usually the same weekend as Lily's birthday party.  This year was almost the same situation as we accepted a rental for our house months back.  Luckily our friends Dave & Theresa offered to let us weekend at their place and we had a fantastic weekend (despite the rain) celebrating Oktoberfest.  We definitely won't miss it in the future.
