Lily's First Play Date

We finally had Lily's first official play date.  She and her new BFF, Lluc, decided they wanted to drop over to Lily's house.  Yes, I saw Lluc in the parking lot at school where he informed me "Lily, Mommy, Lily, House..."  I took that to mean that a play date was in order.  Luckily Lluc and his parents were able to join us Sunday afternoon for some play time and a little dinner.  Lily and Lluc played for four hours and were great.  From the minute Lluc arrived, Lily greeted him on the doorstep with a big hug.  Then they tore through all the toys playing very well together.   One time I heard Lily yell "Mom, Lluc isn't listening to me..."  The two of them also jumped in the pool together and enjoyed throwing water balloons at one another.  They played so hard that Lily wore herself out and asked to go to bed.  Lluc of course was distraught and didn't want to leave but Lily was headed to bed anyhow.  The next morning she woke up with tears in her eyes because Lluc wasn't there.  Very fun evening for all of us.

Philly

The weather cooled down a bit last Saturday and gave us a chance to really explore Philadelphia a bit more.  Of course Lily started her trip with a cotton candy cupcake from the cupcake store.  Yes, she was in heaven.  Then we got the chance to jump on the Duck Tour of Philly.  This land/water vehicle that took us all over the city.  Of course the minute we hit the water, the captain lost steering and had to call the coast guard to pull us back out.  Lily didn't like the life jacket requirement so much but she had a great time none the less.

Taking Dad to The National Aquarium in Baltimore

Lily & I had a chance to hit the National Aquarium in Baltimore last summer but Chris didn't get to join us so we took the opportunity to hit the aquarium and show Dad around.  Of course Lily loved the sharks as long as they weren't staring her in the eye.

Lily's BFF

Lily's BFF from her last daycare actually started going to her new preschool with her.  She is so excited.  They even got to take a field trip together.  Lluc is quite a man.  He is fluent in French and also speaks Spanish.  Lily is trying to teach him how to share now.  I think a play date is to be set up in the near future.
