Trip to Oregon & D.C. Update

It's been way too long since we've did a post. Some pictures below from our trip to Oregon during Kim's two week hiatus from work. We had a great time. Got to see Courtney play basketball both in person and on T.V. Got to take a trip to the Portland Zoo one day with best friend Ahren and her daughter Macy. Then got go to the Chuck E. Cheese's with all Lily's cousins. Then we had lots of dinners together with family with some incredible food. Lily thoroughly enjoyed her time, especially with her favorite buddy Christopher and all the dogs at Venita & Daves. My pictures turned out not so good this time (must have been user error), but I found a couple decent ones.

We've spent our first week in the D.C./MD area and are doing exceptionally well. Found a sitter for Lily on Monday after five interviews. I started by new job on Tuesday. The commute got better every day as I learned more through the week. I'm down to under an hour and am trying to see if we can get that closer to 45 minues long term. Our temporary townhouse is a-ok. Work is going excellent. Major change in hours and responsibilities than what I am used to. Some people don't even get in the office until 10am or after. Yes, this blow my mind since I am used to starting work at 6am. But it is excellent. The people are wonderful, incredibly brilliant and dedicated. Have lots of lawyers, CPAs, authors, etc. to work with.

Lily got the stomach flu on Thursday so Chris was so very nice enough to take care of her on Friday. What a great dad (and husband) he is. We had an excellent weekend. Starting to look at houses and narrow down the area we want to live in (totally different than we originally planned), but at least we have the time to give it the thought we need. Lily is feeling much better over the weekend, so we are looking forward to a great week.

Bad picture, but I wish you could have been there to experience Lily enjoying Karaoke way too much. Limited to cow & sheep sounds for now, but I see a future Karaoke star coming your way.
