The Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017

In Oregon, we were lucky enough to be in the path of totality for the big Solar Eclipse.  Yes there was some serious hype about it in Oregon.  Traffic fears, wild fire fears... not to mention the fear of looking into the light.  But... all the hype was completely worth it and it turned out to be a once in a lifetime experience.  It lasted for over two hours from beginning to end and over two minutes when the moon was completely in front of the sun.  We sat outside with Lily, Dave and Venita enjoying some popcorn and good conversations while looking up with our glasses on.  When the moon was completely in front of the sun, the sky went black and the temperature dropped about 10 degrees (at 10am in the morning).  It really was cool.
