National Zoo (before heading to Florida)

Before heading out to Florida on Friday we had a few spare hours to enjoy some quality time with Danny at the National Zoo.

First week of summer break

Before heading out to Florida, we were lucky enough to spend a couple days of school with our beach friends.  Lily got some great quality time with Sam & Chloe and then got to meet up with some new friends going to her new school.  A great way to start the summer.

Slumber Party (Party #2 for the weekend)

On Saturday night we hosted our second party for the weekend.  With just enough time between parties to set up, we had a fantastic slumber/taco party.  The girls enjoyed a taco dinner, sleeping in the bunk room and then hitting the nature center, bay beach and both the wave pool and indoor pool the following day.  The girls were so GOOD!  They went to bed by 9:30 and woke up at 6:30.  It was a super time for all of them.

Girl Scout Party

Saturday from 11-2 we hosted some 15 girls scouts for an excellent girl scout party at our pool.  Unfortunately the thunder and lightning rolled in so we had to vacate the pool for some time, but fun was still had by all. 

Taco Party Prep

This last Friday was the first official day off school.  While it wasn't Lily's last day of school (a long story for another time) she still enjoyed some excellent time off with her good friend Alyssa who is headed back to Mexico next year (bummer).  The girls went to Leftys to bowl & play in the arcade and then came back home and prepared for the following days Taco Party.  The Taco cake was a real winner.  Wow!

Girl Scout Cookie Selling Winnings

Lily did such a good job selling girl scout cookies this year that she raked in the prices.  Ear buds, portable turtle speaker, etc.  And she won the "Girl Scout Cookie Customer Service" award for the year.  We were very proud of how hard she worked. 

Simone's Birthday

For the third year in a row we have had a spare weekend at the beginning of June which has allowed us to go to Simone Bober's birthday and the enjoyable after party BBQ.  This year was a real blast!
