Lily was too cute not to post this picture. In her new school winter uniform. I think she likes it a lot too.

Fall festivities
We had a great fall weekend finally! The weather chilled slightly. Enough to welcome some soup, hot chocolate and some great sugar cooking decorating.
On Saturday, we made an outing (along with our friends Alex & Andrea) to a local farm for pumpkins, some tasty treats and some fun fall activities for the kiddos including one heck of a corn maze that we needed a very detailed map for.
Lily and Chris (along with friend Mary) were master cookie decorators on Sunday. Lily also pulled out some amazing cooking abilities when she made homemade noodles for chicken noodle soup. We wrapped up our Sunday with great friends who joined us for a short rib dinner. Yummmm!

Lily's Birthday Party
Lily was very fortunate to have some great girls over for her birthday party exactly on her actual birthday. Lily through one heck of a Unicorn Adoption Party and the girls all had a great time. It was one of the easiest parties we've ever had and the girls were super. I think Lily had a pretty special time too.
Rut & Lily's Shared Birthday get together
Because Chris had some work on a Friday night in Maryland, we decided to jump on the band wagon and stay the night in a nice hotel with him so we could go see Rut for her birthday too. The girls got to hang out in the VIP room at the hotel, go to Dave & Busters for some arcade fun and then hit the Japanese Steakhouse (one of their favorites).
Overnight in DC - Parents Night Out!
This was an evening that made us feel so fortunate... One, the parents got free tickets to see Elton John. Not just your normal seats either, we got box seats, plus dinner and drinks for free before hand too. And our friends Elizabeth and Mike were able to join us while Lily stayed with their girls Simone & Dahlia which she loved! So it was a win/win all around. The concert was awesome and the girls had a super time together. So much that no one wanted to leave the next day.

Back to School - And a New School!
Lily was fortunate to get to change schools to a private school called Worcester Prep this year. It goes through high school so if she likes it, she can continue there until college which is a super fun idea. After coming back from Europe, transitioning back to school in only three days is a bit overwhelming, but as usual Lily rolls with the punches. And thank goodness for being able to order her school supplies and uniforms online.
On the first day of school, the kids only had a meet the teacher day, so we headed to get a pedicure before school. What a treat...
