Kids Night Out with Lily's favorite buddies

Once a month, our community puts on an amazing Kids Night Out where the kids get to go play, eat and be merry by themselves for a couple hours while the parents get a dinner out at our incredible clubhouse.  The kids are convinced this night is for them and get dressed up for their night out.  It is so cute.  This month, Lily had her best beach buddies, Chloe and Sam, here to attend Kids Night Out with her.  Afterwards there was a little movie watching and dessert eating going on to make it one late night out for the kiddo's.

Kusama Exhibit at the Hishorn

One of the great things about living in D.C. are all the free events that happen throughout the year.  The Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the Hirshhorn Museum (modern art) was a timed exhibit requiring passes that were next to impossible to get.  However, my friend Elizabeth's husband was kind enough to get the tickets and Elizabeth surprised myself and two other ladies that we all used to work with on a tour of the exhibit and an amazing lunch at a Jose Andres restaurant.  I can honestly say it was one of the most fun days I have had.  And it made me feel continually lucky for being close enough to D.C. to get to enjoy these things.  Oh, and the exhibit was one of the best ever!

Courtney's in Virginia

Courtney Cremer comes to Virginia!  Her team UTSA is in the same league as Old Dominion that is located in Norfolk, VA and their very last game of the season brought them out to Virginia to play Old Dominion.  We got to watch the game and actually hang out with Courtney for a little bit in the afternoon between all her work duties.  It was so great to see Courtney.  Boy, do we ever miss her.

A Friday off School

On March 3rd, Lily got to enjoy an extra Friday off school.  It was a bit of a surprise, but we definitely made the most of it.  Lily was joined by her buddy Alex at our new bowling alley/arcade.  The kids had a great time and even won some stuffed animals.

Weekend in D.C.

When we decided to move to the beach, I remember having a conversation with Lily about moving and she was all in, as long as we could go back to D.C. at least five times per year.  So, whenever our house is not rented over there, we have a tendency to break away for the weekend.  This particular weekend, we actually got caught up on all our house maintenance items and now have a little more time to just enjoy D.C.  Lily got to play all weekend long with her friend Rut, she got to go to her friend Sarah's birthday party and we even had enough time to squeeze in a dinner at Lily's favorite Japanese steakhouse.  It was a super fun weekend.
