Summer Vacation - Week 1 (Last Day in TX)

On our last day in Texas, Chris was able to get out of class at noon so we all got to have lunch together and hang out before flying back to Baltimore late in the evening.  Lily proudly wore her new Pikachuy shirt from her favorite Tex Mex restaurant Chuys.  We even got some good Tex Mex on the way out of town.

Summer Vacation Week 1 - Dallas & Hawaiian Falls

We made it back to Dallas and had a great first day at the Perot Museum of Science.  The second day was filled with some shopping and movies and then to friends for dinner and swimming.  And the third day we got to make it to a super water park called Hawaiian Falls.  It definitely has felt like a vacation before the vacation.

Summer Vacation Week 1 - A Stop in Waco to Visit Magnolia Homes

We didn't see Chip and Joanna from the hit HGTV series Fixer Upper, but we did buy a few things for the market and pick up some awesome treats at the bakery.  What fun!

Summer Vacation Week 1 - Visiting Courtney in San Antonio

To start out our awesome summer vacation, actually a week early because school let out early (thanks to minimal snow days).  We headed first to Dallas to meet up with Chris who is on a 3 week training program for his new job.  Bummer to be away from him so long, but boy did we all have a fun time once we got back together.  We headed out immediately to San Antonio to spend the weekend with Courtney.  We were also joined by Roslyn Albee who was making her way from MS to CA to start graduate school for the Navy.  Perfect timing if I do say so myself.  Of course we ate some amazing food, hit the Riverwalk and Alamo, and even had some pool time at Courtney's.  It was a super fun weekend.

Beach Friends

We got to enjoy one last weekend with our beach friends.  It was filled with pool time, water gun fights, pizza at the snack shake and a super fun night out at the club.

Field Day at Long Neck Elementary

During the next to last week at school, I got to volunteer at Lily's end of year field day.  The kids went from station to station for three solid hours and I must say they were pooped after all the excitement.  I was pooped just watching them.

Alone at the Wave Pool

When the kids are still in school + the wave pool is open for the summer + the weather is awesome =  good quality relaxing time at the beach!
