Lily's Excellent Weekend (Day 5 & 6)

Chris says that it looks like Lily got his blonde hair and blue eyes, but she got Mom's good looks. She is so much fun. Grandma Merry & Grandpa Ronnie came to visit on Sunday. Lily was a perfect little angel. Not a peep out of her. She slept contently on whoever would hold her. She is doing much better sleeping now. Finally getting 2-3 hours at a time. Dad is being a trooper, getting up during every nighttime change and feeding. He is definitely super dad. He did go back to work today, very reluctantly. But he checked on us a lot and had lunch with us. Very nice to have him here during the day, even if he is working. Lily has her first week check up tomorrow with her pediatrician. We are hoping her weight is up and her slight case of jaundice is nearly gone. Every day is definitely a new adventure. We can't keep our eyes off the little one. She is so stinkin' cute.

Lily's Fourth Day (10/9/09)

We are definitely enjoying the adjustment to being home. No one poking and prodding at us, and definitely a lot quieter than the hospital. The new family is all doing well. Lily has lost a little weight, but we are hoping by Monday she will be back close to her original birth weight. She continues to look cuter and cuter every day. Not sure how that is possible.

Lily's Third Day (10/8/09) - Going Home Day

Yippeee... we got to go home today. A little late in the evening, but we made it. A little disoriented. Not sure where everything is or how to use any of these fancy swings and things. But we will figure it out.

Lily is Born

Here are a few pictures of Lily Mae on her very first day. October 6th at 4:39 pm she was born. Weighing in at 7 lbs 10 oz and 19 inches long. She is the most beautiful thing we have ever laid eyes on. Yes, definitely proud parents.

The time is near

Doctor's appointment today and Kim is 3 cm dilated. Doctor says Lily is round 7 pounds and he even touched her head. Lily is very close. Doctor said probably within the week. We are beyond excited, we are ready! Doctor said if Kim makes it to her appointment next week and is 5 cm dilated then he will take Lily then. Stay tuned as I am sure new updates will be coming soon.

Smokey Mountain road trip

So like most people we were itching to do something over Labor day and hanging around the house did not sound like fun. I had promised Kim if she still felt well that we would hit the road and hit the road we did. We headed down to Gatlinburg, TN near the Smokey Mountains, it was far more touristy then we had imagined. We checked into our campgroud and they informed us that we could not sleep in our Expedition that we had to sleep in a tent. They asked if we could go buy one and I looked at Kim's belly and said "no". So we changed plans a bit and found a hotel to stay in for night two near the Smokeys and decided to stay the third night in Nashville.

All and all a good road trip where we did find plenty to laugh about and had a great weekend. Here are some pictures:
